Federation of Kerala Associations in North America

FOKANA (Federation of Kerala Associations in North America) is the largest and oldest umbrella organization in the world, with over 75 member associations across the United States and Canada, representing about one million NRIs. The organization was founded in 1983. With more than 41 years of history promoting the rich culture and heritage of Kerala and advocating for NRI causes, FOKANA has become a household name among Malayalees worldwide. In addition to pioneering numerous programs to benefit American and Canadian Malayalees, FOKANA has launched several initiatives to preserve Kerala’s cultural traits within the diaspora community.
